| Excerpts:
The most important difference between writing that's been tailored for web publication and writing designed for paper media is structure.
Web readers are very impatient and want to find out quickly whether the material they are scanning is relevant to them.
Among the most important elements of structure for online reading is paragraph length. The ideal length depends not only on the kind of writing you're doing and the style and tone you adopt, but also on the format and medium in which you're writing. It's as much a visual as a verbal question.
