Special features of cristalla.com courseware
Most cristalla.com courseware presently incorporates several special features to help you in your progress through the material, and in your learning and knowledge construction. One of these is "adaptive hypertext" using the Wordcircuits Connections System developed by New York University.
Returning to work in progress
As you move through pages on cristalla.com, the courseware keeps track of the "nodes" (pages) you have visited. If you log off and return later, you will be:
shown a list of pages you have visited
given the option of resuming your work where you left off or of starting over again.
Not missing an important link
As you move through pages and multiple hypertext links, there is always the question "did I forget to click on a hypertext critical to my understanding of the content?"
We will not let you do this. If you leave a selected group of pages without visiting a hyperlink which, in the opinion of the course developers and mentors, is critical:
you will be given an alert to visit such links
You have not visited the important link name critical to understanding this material. We recommend you do so before continuing.
you may return to visit the link, or ignore the suggestion and continue
