We at cristalla.com gained awareness of the growing number of theories and their experimental application  on every educational level supporting learner-controlled whole brain learning concepts and approaches.

Realizing your full potential

Learning as a path to realize a learner’s full potential became the focus and guiding principle in our brainstorming, research, and experimentation for meaningful applications.

We are not alone!

While the hierarchical, expert-controlled approach to learning is still very much dictating the operation of our educational institutions from grade school to post-graduate programs, choices of how to learn and build life-long learning portfolios are possible and available.

Our  societal future is dependent on how we think, feel and interact in rapidly changing environments, i.e. how we learn throughout life. Positive changes on a global scale depend on every individual's decision to change for personal empowerment and the ability to take on responsibility - either within or outside a formal educational setting.

Assisting individuals in making this crucial decision and following through with it determined our course of action: All our programs and projects will follow five basic principles:

1.  Learning community

2. Constructivist models

3. Paths for knowledge construction

4. Hypertext - audio - video

five basic principles

"We learn to do something by doing it.
There is no other way."

The individual adopting a learning process in tune with personal growth and expanding potential is a multi-track pioneer. Knowing that communication between learning individuals is the engine to propel this learning process we are committed to create communication channels for  different learning environments from:

the physical classroom -
to diverse distance learning programs with technological assistance -
to the full online tele-learning environment

The Story continued…

Thanks to all of you who contacted us, sharing ideas, and encouraging cristalla.com’s goals of learning.

Four years ago we started digitizing our learning approach and what has emerged is -

Our web-design is an ongoing effort to create the appropriate interface for realizing full learning potential. We differ from other educational sites in emphasizing communication over information access and using imagination as a driver of learning.

While information access is step A in the learning process,

it will not produce results without step B, the communication on content.

Education builds upon learning. Learning does not happen by just accessing information - it requires discussion and interchange of ideas on the information. These communications are vital to the learning process. Based on an analysis of every formal, informal and spontaneous interaction in a traditional learning environment we have installed currently available technology to accommodate these communication needs in an online- or technology-assisted learning environment.

Applying the theories of constructivist models we are using hypertext to create pathways for knowledge construction by the learner.

Knowing that web design for learning is an art, we employ the principles of artforms in the use of language, sound and graphics to stimulate the learner's imagination.

It is a collaborative learning environment where the learner accepts responsibility for his/her education by applying full thinking potential collectively.

Our goal: Foster the Universal Self-organized Learner

Our motto: Learning is Communication

Our strength: Growing into a Learning Community
